Description[edit]
The main Steiner DropShip class used in MechWarrior 4, Hrothgar DropShips are small, single lance carrying spacecraft that are notably weak.[2]
Armament[edit]
The Hrothgar has an exceptional weapons loadout for such a small DropShip, with a mainly long range armament consisting of four PPCs, four Gauss rifles, and four Large Lasers. Because of its lack of short range weaponry, it suffers in performance against close enemies.[3]
Cargo[edit]
The Hrothgar can accommodate its regular crew, plus pilots and techs for the vehicles carried.
Variants[edit]
No known variants of the Hrothgar exist.

Canonicity[edit]
Being mentioned only in an apocryphal source (the video game MechWarrior 4), the Hrothgar must consequently be considered apocryphal as well.
Computer games are explicitly excluded from the list of products that contribute straight Canon to the BattleTech universe, while at the same time it was stated that the IP owners are "not in total denial about these sources either"; it has also been stated that fluff from certain official, licensed products (namely certain computer games including those produced by FASA) can be assumed to be part of the shared universe, as long as it is not directly contradicted, and makes sense. On this premise, the Hrothgar is considered to be an apocryphal product.
