The Imalda system is the location of at least one habitable world and, as of 3145, is located in the Sian Commonality of the Capellan Confederation.[1][2]

System Description[edit]

The Imalda system is located near the Hexare and New Westin systems.[3]

System History[edit]

The Imalda system was colonized at some point during or shortly after the First Exodus from Terra and was a member of the Sian Commonwealth prior to the founding of the Capellan Confederation.[4]

The Jihad[edit]

Despite the campaign being waged under the name Operation SOVEREIGN JUSTICE by the Duke of the Capellan March, George Hasek, against the Capellan Confederation bogging down in due to counterattacks from Capellan forces, the Federated Suns troops still managed to secure control of Aldertaine, Glasgow, Hexare, Homestead, Imalda and New Westin by the 20th of August 3068.[25] Imalda was captured by the Twenty-first Illician Rangers as a part of the third wave of attacks by Capellan March forces, and was initially captured with little resistance; this changed as the Confederation began to counterattack, with the Twenty-first finding themselves facing supply shortfalls and having to operate as guerrilla forces in the face of the Fifth Confederation Reserve Cavalry and elements of the Death Commandos. The Rangers managed to strike back against the Confederation forces more than once, but their lack of supplies reached the point that the Twenty-first had no choice but to retreat to Sendalor and then ultimately to Ikast.[31]
