The Inglorious Outkasts were a group of former Arena Gladiators who were scarred by the brutality of the arenas.[1]
History[edit]
The Inglorious Outkasts had been organizing in the shadows of Solaris City and causing disturbances behind the scenes by mid-3041. Feeling marginalized and excluded, they saw an opportunity to make a statement at the approaching year-end FedCom Unification Tournament.[1] Before the event, the Inglorious Outkasts commandeered a 'Mech and set it ablaze in the city's downtown, grabbing media attention and allowing member Randal Logan to make their demands heard.[2]
With the tournament underway, the Outkasts plotted to sabotage the protective ballistic glass shielding the crowd and Solaris Council during the final match at Steiner Stadium on 29 December 3041.[3] They got wind that Jake Mason's entry and progression in the tournament was in part an attempt to thwart them,[4] and moved to prevent him from reaching the final round by having the teams in the penultimate match conspire to stop him.[3] Despite Logan's repeated warnings, Mason plowed through to the final round and eventually took down their assassin Caleb Rourke—who entered the arena after the glass shielding broke—in a one-on-one duel before any spectators could be harmed, and in the process became the champion of the tournament.[4]
