Ira Futomi was a notable VTOL pilot in the Seventh Ghost Regiment during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History[edit]
During the fighting on Sakhara V against the Sakhara Academy Training Battalion, Gunsho Futomi eliminated five enemy machines in the course of the battle. His fourth kill took up the last of his ammunition but, instead of disengaging, Futomi continued to pursue a Vulcan BattleMech. Futomi continued to chase his opponent as the MechWarrior attempted to use the cluttered battlefield to break contact, chasing the frantic cadet to the edge of a cliff. Futomi then rammed his aircraft into the Vulcan, shattering his own rotors and sending both pilot and MechWarrior plummeting to their deaths on the canyon floor below.[1]
