Planetary History[edit]
Clan Invasion[edit]
After Caesar Sean O'Reilly installed one of his mistresses, Lydia Humphreys, in a wing of the Imperial residence on Alphard following the birth of their son Trajan in 3051, the planetary governor of Islington objected. The planetary governor at the time was Gordon Humphreys, a distant relation of the notable Free Worlds League noble family, and Lydia was his daughter; Gordon objected to his daughter being installed as a concubine, as Sean already had two sons—Julius and Marcus—by two different women. Sean responded by having Gordon summoned to Alphard and executed, prompting the rest of the Humphreys family to keep quiet.[34]
