System Description[edit]
Itrom is located near the Panzyr and Mangzhangdian systems.
System History[edit]
The Itrom system was originally settled by the Free Worlds League as part of a privately funded expedition that followed in the wake of the settlement of Taurus.[2] Itrom became a part of the Sian Commonality of the Capellan Confederation on the border with the Taurian Concordat. Itrom vanished from maps during the Second Succession War,[3][4] but would appear again on later star charts.[5][6]

Planetary History[edit]
Itrom, along with Coromodir VI, Guldra, and Mechdur, were originally settled by the Free Worlds League as part of a privately funded expedition that followed in the wake of the settlement of Taurus.[2]
Much of the planet is covered with grasslands and forests, with a few urban centers on each of the other major landmasses. Itrom is also known for commercial and manufacturing interests.[1]
The Capellans built a fortress and spaceport on the largest continent, a vast equatorial desert. Early in the Succession Wars, this continent was reduced to a radioactive wasteland, leading Itrom to be declared a dead world and removed from Inner Sphere charts.[1] Despite the Capellan withdrawal, Itrom was able to maintain both independence and a decent standard of living for the inhabitants.[20]
In 2870, House Arano and House Espinosa of Coromodir approached Itrom's ruling family House Gallas, as well as the leading families of Guldra, Smithon, and Itrom about an agreement for mutual defense and trade. Out of this grew the Aurigan Trade Partnership. Forty years later, that partnership transformed into the Aurigan Coalition.[20]
