The DCS Iwate was one of two Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery WarShips which had been permanently assigned to the First Proserpina Hussars by 2750, serving alongside another Combine WarShip, the DCS Wakayama.[1] Both WarShips were sister ships, being Vigilant-class destroyers purchased from the Terran Hegemony or Star League; they were also the only Vigilants fielded by the Draconis Combine Admiralty in 2765.[2]
