Izzel DeVries was, as of the early 3130s, a young noble on Ozawa.[1]

During the early 3130s, Izzel, a member of Ozawa's ruling House DeVries, backed an effort to find, recover, and restore salvageable military equipment across the planet. He employed Thel as his chief archeologist. Thel's efforts proved fruitful, locating at least two BattleMechs with working fusion engines in less than three years.[1]
