Jackson Edbom was the commanding officer of the Second Kavalleri Cluster of the Ghost Bear Dominion's Polar Galaxy during the Second Combine-Dominion War.[1]

Star Colonel Edbom was stationed on Trondheim alongside Kappa Galaxy's Fifty-fifth Provisional Garrison Cluster and Rasalhague Galaxy's Second Rasalhague Bears and First Tyr Assault Cluster in 3100. On 18 March, Trondheim was invaded by the Draconis Combine's Fifth Sword of Light and Eleventh Ghost Regiment with support from the DCS Draconis Rift, who quickly destroyed the weaker Second Rasalhague Bears and Fifty-fifth PGC. Edbom responded to these defeats by sending an HPG message to nearby Rasalhague requesting immediate reinforcements while positioning his soldiers within the capital city of Misby Flats. On 5 April, Edom's Second Kavalleri came under intense fire from the Eleventh Ghost Regiment and were unable to leave their fortified positions around the planetary spaceport.[1]
Just as time began to run out for Edbom and a final charge against the Eleventh Ghost seemed his only choice, the Combine force disengaged and withdrew to their DropShips for departure. In Trondheim's orbit, the remainder of Polar Galaxy and three Stars of Pocket WarShips had heeded Edbom's earlier distress call and were quickly preparing to engage the Draconis Rift. When the Combine forces fled the planet, they ceded any chance of taking Trondheim or stopping the Dominion's assaults, although the Dominion's foes still had their sights set on Rasalhague.[1]
