James Wesson was a historian published in the Lyran Commonwealth with Tharkad Publishing Co, and the author of a number of historical works.[1][2]

Wesson was the author of:
- The 3058 work The Highlander Freedom, covering the Northwind Highlanders' fight for the independence of Northwind from the Federated Commonwealth in 3057[1]; and
- The 3069 work Falcons Resurgent: The Coventry Campaign, covering the events during the Battle of Coventry in 3058[2].
