Captain Jarred Bensen was a Conventional Aircraft Pilot, who worked as a test pilot for Federated-Boeing Interstellar during the 3030s.[1]

Bensen barely graduated from his flight school, leaving as one of the worst performers in his class, when he was recruited by Federated-Boeing to help test the Boeing Jump Bomber then in development on Galax. Known for his poor aim during flight training, Bensen was considered perfect for the test program, as he was representative of the grade of pilots available to the planetary militias who it was hoped would purchase the cheap, conventional Boeing Jump Bomber.
The simple and easy to pilot bomber ended up suiting Bensen, and he was able to hone his skills, to become a trainer for other pilots on how to effectively use to the jump bomber.[1]
