Jason Timmus was a mercenary commander in the mid to late 31st century.[1][2]
History[edit]
Major Jason Timmus first arrived in the Inner Sphere shortly after the Battle of Tukayyid in 3052. He claimed to be from the world of Dante in the Outworlds Alliance, but this was hard to confirm due to the beliefs of the Omniss sect. He drifted from job to job before entering the Free Worlds League and soon founded the Tiger Sharks mercenary unit from less reputable soldiers. There his unit gained some legitimacy by protecting merchants along the Periphery border.[1]
When the Chaos March emerged from the separation of the Lyran Alliance from the Federated Commonwealth in 3057, Jason moved his unit to richer hunting grounds. The Sharks would land on a planet without an announcement where two or more small groups were at odds. Jason would then converse with all sides in any given conflict. The factions would then be fearful that their opponents would hire the mercenaries and so contract offers would begin arriving for the Sharks services. These contracts would often be short thus raising the stakes, and the fees, for acquiring the 'Mercs support.[1]
After spending ten years working in the Chaos March, Jason Timmus was approached by the Word of Blake. They hired the Tiger Sharks for an assault on the Wolf's Dragoons home world of Outreach. There Jason and his Tiger Sharks would stay on Outreach as if awaiting a certain contract and then strike against the military and civilian assets in the city of Harlech. In October 3067, the Sharks and several other mercenary units struck in the First Battle of Harlech. They caused extensive damage in their strike, but the enraged Dragoons launched a counter attack that led to the destruction of the Tiger Sharks and the presumed death of Jason Timmus.[1][3]
