Jean Fabier was the commanding officer of the Sixteenth Sun Zhang Cadre as of 3059.[1]

Tai-sa Fabier, serving with the Sixteenth Sun Zhang Cadre, was stationed on Luthien in 3059. Fabier had arranged for the Sixteenth Cadre's posting on Luthien by relying on his array of political connections, with the hope being that the cadets under his command would be included in any major operations when the fighting against the Clans resumed. Fabier also used his connections to acquire a company of OmniMechs with which to reward exceptional cadets and to help out any of his students who found themselves in trouble.[1] Following the annexation of the Lyons Thumb, Fabier retained command of the Sixteenth Cadre and was stationed on Ashio by 3067.[2]
