Jerry Nakamua was the commanding officer of Cooler Team Five of the Fourteenth Legion of Vega during the War of 3039.[1]

Gunsho Nakamua's Cooler Team Five had a reputation as criminals, outcasts, and troublemakers—much like the rest of the Fourteenth Legion of Vega. When the Lyran Commonwealth invaded Vega during the War of 3039, the Fourteenth Legion's Cooler Teams played a key role in keeping the unit combat effective until the Second Legion of Vega could reinforce it. In particular, Nakamua's team repeatedly braved Lyran fire in order to keep the Fourteenth Legion's BattleMechs cool in Vega's searing summer environment.[1]
