Born in 1960, Jessica Cameron was an Australian biochemist recognized for contributions to medical science, particularly her 2002 Nobel Prize on vaccinations targeting retroviruses.
Beyond her scientific work, Cameron was an advocate for nuclear disarmament and played a significant role in encouraging the Australian government to adopt a position of neutrality in 2010. Her life was cut short by an automobile accident in 2012.[1]
