Jessup's Avengers was a pirate band of unspecified size and composition operating in Federated Suns territory.[1]
History[edit]
Jessup's Avengers patrolled Barstow like they were the ones in control of the system, raiding ships that passed through. They learned about an exceptionally large unguarded shipment from Avalon Shipping and pounced, not realizing it was a decoy and a mercenary outfit had been hired to lie in wait. The pirates were expecting Avalon's usual low-level security detail and ended up being dealt considerable losses, forcing the them to think twice before running another raid on what they believe is a harmless supply convoy. The distraction worked perfectly and Avalon Shipping's real shipment made it to its destination via a different JumpShip route without any pirate activity.[1]
