Jonas was a notable armored infantryman in Clan Snow Raven's Touman during the Jihad Era.[1]
History[edit]
Star Captain Jonas missed his opportunity to claim a Bloodname due to his age but earned recognition for leading the Snow Raven salvage team that located and began repairing the CSR Storm Crow in an unnamed and uninhabited Draconis Combine system. Jonas worked for more than year to develop biohazard and salvage procedures that would enable the Storm Crow to return to operational status and was confident that the men under his command could accomplish the job. The project was especially important to the Snow Ravens for its symbolic value, as the battered Clan saw the return of the Storm Crow as a reflection of its own strength and survivability. Jonas' passion for the recovery of the WarShip was compared to the passion that members of Clan Ghost Bear put into accomplishing their own Great Works.[1]
As a security precaution, Jonas established a mandate that the members of his Binary be armed at all times due to their presence deep within Combine space. While his refusal to be caught unprepared by any interloping force was understandable, it also slowed the pace of recovery operations and made it unlikely that the Storm Crow would return to service before 3076.[1]
