History[edit]
Holbrook was reputed to be a fiery and flamboyant officer, recalling the style of a dashing cavalry commander of antiquity, who lived fast, played hard and died young. An eight-hour arm-wrestling match between Holbrook and his fellow Delta Regiment company commander Captain James MacGregor was famous in the regiment, treated by the troops as a part of their history almost on par with the battles for Halloran V and Quentin.
He was wounded in battle three times, including nearly losing an arm on Quentin, and heavily damaging his 'Mech on Udibi while defending an exposed position with his company against the Crucis Lancers. Holbrook was also present during an engagement on Proserpina, where a friendly fire incident occurred when fire support called in by Captain Gustav Dietrick to assist Holbrook's company fell short, damaging a number of Dragoon 'Mechs.
During the Battle of Misery in 3028, Holbrook was again in the thick of battle, but this time paid for his audacity with his life.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
Holbrook was known to pilot an Atlas BattleMech, which he called "The Warrior".[1]
