Kait Meress was a resident of the Magistracy of Canopus, from Claybrooke, as of 3151.

History

In December 3151 Meress was interviewed by Voices of the Sphere, on the subject of the Blackout, and its impact on the lives of citizens of the Inner Sphere. In this interview, Meress indicated she was born after the Blackout started in August 3132, and thus knew nothing else.

This made it hard for Meress to sort fact from fiction, from amongst the stories told about elsewhere in the Inner Sphere, including one about a cult which had developed on a world where the HPG only worked once a year. Meress had also heard stories about the existence of Black Boxes from her mother, but didn't know if to credit them, since more weren't being made to replace the lost HPG network.
