Formerly known as Talon Sergeant, a Kashira is a DCMS MechWarrior who owns their own BattleMech, as well as those MechWarriors who are born into noble families. Kashira wear a stylized katakana number 1 in royal blue on a background color appropriate to their branch as their rank insignia.

In the DCMS Support Corps (Technical Service), this rank is known as Petty Officer.
