Kean Richards was a veteran infantryman in the Free Worlds League Military during the thirty-first century.

Having already served for fifteen years as a jump infantryman, Kean was selected to undergo training to become a battle armor trooper, and served in numerous battle armor operations, although he wasn't involved in Operation BULLDOG. In 3062 was posted to the security detachment responsible for guarding Captain-General Thomas Marik. In 3066, Kean was appointed commanding officer of the security detachment. Despite the new appointment, Kean continued to maintain his certification as an Achileus operator.[1]
Serving as a Force Commander, Kean took part in a classified military action in October 3068, presumably during the attack on Atreus launched by the Word of Blake. Records of the event were later unsealed, but enough details remained classified to make it unclear what this action was, although it may indicate that the Captain-General was subject to an attack that was never publicly disclosed or reported through the usual military channels. When Paul Marik launched his coup against Thomas, Kean was on duty, and was apparently attacked by a number of personnel from his own command who supported Paul; as of 3070, it was still unclear if Kean had survived the coup.[1]
