Financed by a number of the Federated Suns old-money families whose prominence had ebbed and flowed over the Succession War era, Kelvin-Drahne Diversified took advantage of the financial boom that resulted from the discovery and unlocking of the Helm Memory Core, selling off most of its assets at a significant profit. Maintaining a low profile waiting the next economic downturn, K-D reacted promptly to the Clan Invasion to snap up failing a score of companies within both halves of the Federated Commonwealth when it existed, though political pressure was mounting to sell off its assets within the Lyran Alliance in the wake of the FedCom Civil War.[1]
