Planetary History[edit]

Clan Invasion[edit]

Kiamba was conquered in March 3052 by Clan Smoke Jaguar during the Fifth Wave of Operation REVIVAL. Loremaster Edmund Hoyt personally led the Jaguar's Spirit Keshik against the veteran Third Proserpina Hussars. Immediately upon their landing the Smoke Jaguars' OmniMechs were engaged by an armored battalion of the Third Hussars while their DropShips were strafed by Hussar aerospace fighters, resulting in one of the ship being severely damaged before the Jaguar's own air support saw them off. The Clan forces then pursued the retreating tanks into Hecate's Swamp, where the battalion's personnel had mixed kerosene with the murky swamp water and then ignited it, catching two entire Trinaries in the fiery deathtrap. Enraged by the dishonorable tactic, Hoyt ordered a headhunter unit to locate the regiment's command staff and eliminate them. Tai-sa Richard Weston, along with most of his command company, died in the headhunter's attack, forcing the rest of the demoralized Hussars to retreat back to Collins' Ridge for a brave but futile last stand.[49]

Uprising[edit]
Clan Wolf Raids[edit]

Following the Refusal War, Clan Wolf sought to prove the Wolves were still a force to be reckoned with. In early 3058, they successfully challenged for a Bloodhouse Osis genetic legacy.[50][51]

Operation BULLDOG[edit]

After destroying the Galedon Pride, an ad hoc company of volunteers from the Fifth Galedon Regulars, the defending 362nd Assault Cluster were targetted in the first wave of Operation BULLDOG by the First Genyosha, the First Kestrel Grenadiers, the Third Drakøns, and the Com Guard Eleventh Division, led by the Coordinator's heir, Hohiro Kurita.[52] The Silver Jaguars were slow to react and lost effective aerospace control. Overwhelmed by the invading force and with no chance at keeping control of the planet, the 362nd extracted with minimal losses and joined the rest of the touman in abandoning the Occupation Zone.[53]

The Ninth Benjamin Regulars joined the Third Drakøns and the Eleventh ComStar Division in garrisoning the world against any reprisals.[54]

First Combine-Dominion War[edit]

In 3062, the Second Bear Regulars ravaged the Fourth Pesht Regulars when they attacked Kiamba, but Combine reinforcements from the First Genyosha hammered the Bears in turn driving them off world.[55][56][57]

Jihad[edit]

On 15 April 3067, a Broadsword was brought down by Third Proserpina Hussars aerospace fighters. On a training exercise, both the Third Hussars and MacLeod's Regiment forces attempted to race one another to the crashsite, where they fought a fierce battle against Bravo Star of the First Rasalhague Bears.[47][58]

Geography[edit]

Kiamba is covered by huge shallow seas and extensive swamplands. These conditions cause local insects to thrive and obtain unusual and "horrifying" size.[67] It consists of at least one continent, Tortinia.[47]

Planetary Locations[edit]

  • Collins Ridge[49][72]
  • Gurana Plains[73][74]
  • Hecate's Swamp[49][72][75][76]
  • Jacob's Mountain: located on the Tortinia continent[47]
  • Kiamba City: the planetary capital (apocryphal)[71]
  • New Buzen City[57]
    • Star League-era tunnels: large tunnels new New Buzen City that were large enough to hide BattleMechs[57]
