The Kladnitsa system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as of 3151 was located in the Timbuktu Collective.[1]

Kladnitsa is located near the Coldbrook and Firenze systems.[2][3]

System History[edit]

The Kladnitsa system was either settled by the Rim Worlds Republic at some point during or shortly before the Age of War, or was an already-inhabited system that became significant enough during this era for Inner Sphere nations to begin recording its location on maps.[4][5]

Reunification War[edit]

Civil war erupted in the Rim Worlds Republic in 2575, with the factions polarized around those loyal to First Consul Gregory Amaris and those loyal to the Rift Republican Army and the Rim Provisional Government.[36]

The Star League eventually decided to intervene in the civil war in support of Gregory Amaris, and in 2579 assembled a multinational force headed by the Star League Defense Force to help secure Amaris' control over the Rim Worlds Republic.[37] Assigned to the capture of Kladnitsa in 2584 was the Sixth Marik Militia and the First Brigade of the Fusiliers of Oriente. With no Rim Worlds Army units in place, the two units—who formed a part of the Second Marik Auxiliary Corps—faced only local resistance and successfully secured control of the planet. The two Free Worlds League Military units remained on Kladnitsa until they were redeployed in 2588.[38]

Star League Era[edit]

Kladnitsa was conquered by the Lyran Commonwealth during the 2773–2775 Republic-Commonwealth War.[14]

ilClan Era[edit]

In January 3151, word reached Kladnitsa that nearby Sapienza had been overrun by an unusually large and well equipped band of pirates. When the LCAF failed to respond and Sapienza instead received aid from the Timbuktu Collective, Kladnitsa's authorities chose to secede and join that nation as well.[1]
