Kol Dojiro was the Draconis Combine administrator of the planet Sendai in the twenty-eighth century, and the ultimate responsible of the Sendai Massacre.[1]

History[edit]

Kol Dojiro was the Administrator of Sendai during the First Succession War. Considered as a jumped-up bureaucrat, after the Eridani Light Horse Mercenary unit, stationed on his planet, heard about the Kentares Massacre, they terminated his contract with the Combine and prepared to leave. He clearly feared the psychotic Coordinator Jinjiro Kurita would blame him for the loss of the unit, and, scared, made a desperate gamble to prevent them.[2]

As the last Eridani DropShip to leave carried the dependents of two battalions of the group, the Fiftieth Heavy Cavalry Battalion and Eighth Recon Battalion, the 13 June of 2798, he ordered Sendai's forces to assault it and take all two thousand dependents hostage. A day later, he informed the retreating units about his act, and threatened to execute them if they didn't return and surrender to him in eight hours. This wasn't only unreasonable, but openly impossible, because the Fiftieth and Eighth would need, at least, twelve hours to return. The Eridani leader, General Bradley, attempted to negotiate... but Dojiro ordered the execution of all hostages, sending the video of the executions to the Eridanis.[2]

The consequences of Dojiro's war crime were immediate: both the Eighth and Fiftieth returned at maximum speed to Sendai, determined to taking revenge. They fell first over Aobayama City, annihilating all defenders and destroying any government building. Dojiro gathered almost all his militia to Sendai City, the capital... but that didn't help them: both Battalions assaulted Sendai City on the 18th. Dojiro attempted to evacuate the city, with his senior staff and family, on a convoy protected by his personal guard of 'Mechs, but they had nowhere to go – the Eridanis had cut off any escape from the city and destroyed any vehicle he could have used.[3]

However, before, some armed forces of Rasalhague arrived on planet... but that didn't help Dojiro or his men: when they heard about the administrator's deeds, they soon withdrew, leaving them to be punished.[4]

The convoy didn't go very far: a lance of the Fiftieth fell over them, annihilating Dojiro's guard, 'Mech after 'Mech, one vehicle after vehicle. Finally, a Guillotine 'Mech crushed the motors of all the limos. Dojiro exited his limo, finding himself under the guns of the attacking 'Mech. The pilot was Lieutenant Rafe Fraser, who had lost his wife and unborn child in the Massacre. He intended to shoot Dojiro, even after his wife protected him with his body... but when the two small children of the couple did the same, he changed his mind.[5]

Dojiro was taken captive, judged and executed before the Eridanis left the planet. His crime soured the relationship between the Eridanis and the Combine for centuries.[6]

Family[edit]

Dojiro had a wife and two little children, a boy about eight years old, and a little girl with about six, at the time of the Massacre.[7]

Physical Description[edit]

Dojiro was described as a bald man with a pudgy face.[7]
