Kossandra Centrella
Vessel Profile
TypeJumpShip
ClassUnknown

The Kossandra Centrella was a JumpShip of unknown type in service to the Magistracy of Canopus.

History[edit]

As of 3051, the Kossandra Centrella was exploring the outer Periphery for a new world to colonize. The ship was traveling with the Leif Erickson, the Amundsen, the Dr. Livingston, and the St. Brendan. The crewmen and passengers described themselves as amateurs who had been sweet-talked into a crazy venture by a crackpot with too much money and time.[1]

Their systems were failing and they were unable to find a planet to settle. The Dr. Livingston was lost after after a massive engineering accident, and the other ships were near mutiny because food was getting scarce. They proceeded to pass ten systems in twelve weeks without finding anything suitable.[1]

Nothing is known of the ships' fate,[See Notes] and all the information on them was from a file found in a communication buoy drifting in an uncharted star system in the Outer Rim Region, with date 10 September 3051.[1]

By 3152,[See Notes] the Kossandra Centrella was serving as the Magestrix's own JumpShip during its conflict with the Marian Hegemony. It transported the new Gabrielle's Pride mercenary unit from the Canopus system[2] while also making stops in Lindenmarle on 6 April and Booker on 27 April.[3]

Notes[edit]

  • ^ The log entry noted anyone could find them if they "keep heading spinward." It is unknown if this implies they are spinward of the Inner Sphere in general or relative to their location. The presence of a JumpShip named after Kossandra Centrella, the first Magestrix of the Magistracy of Canopus, might suggest a potentially galactic rimward area.
  • ^ It's possible the colony JumpShip used by the private entrepreneur in the mid-thirty-first century is different from the Magestrix's JumpShip a century later. They are being regarded as one in the same for the purposes of this article until verified otherwise.
