The Kountze Arctic Terror[1] is a large, six-legged predator native to the planet Kountze.
Description[edit]
Found on the glaciers and snow covered mountains of Kountze, the Kountze Arctic Terror fills an environmental role similar to the polar bear on Terra. The species hunts on land and sea where is fearsome strength allows it to rip through the tough hides of its prey. However, they can also feed on plant life below the permafrost as it takes advantage of every food source.
Upon someone's first sighting of the creature, the origin of the fearsome name is clearly evident. The six-legged, insect like shell covered body, and truly horrific appearance when it stands on its back four legs leaves an impression on the uninitiated. The animal's teeth have been known to puncture light armor as well. All of this encourages travelers to keep up their guard when traveling near the creatures territory.
