History[edit]
Kristin Marie Hallis was the only daughter of Bordon Hallis. As with all her siblings, she was born on planet Royal, but their family was spread across the Inner Sphere in the War of 3039 when the Federated Commonwealth took the planet from the Draconis Combine. She was evacuated from the planet with the Kurita dependents, and adopted by a couple loyal to the Combine.
Eventually, she joined the DCMS First Rutbak Armored Defense Regiment, a tank unit, where she served as a Tank commander, even attaining a rank officer on the unit. Most of her life, she believe her brothers and parents have been killed in the invasion, but eventually searched about them only for curiosity, and while her mother was dead (only her father; Bordon was still alive) her brothers were alive and well. In the year 3050, initiated contact with them, and traveled to Terra once to meet her two brothers, which, despite the political differences, welcomed her long ago believed dead sister in their family.[1]
Unknown to her, his family was too her doom: one of her ancestors, Franklin Hallis, left the Inner Sphere three centuries ago with Operation Exodus, and helped to form the Clans... more specifically, Clan Wolverine.[2]
Despite the distant and indirect relationship, for Clan Steel Viper and Clan Nova Cat, who killed her father and aunt, Bordon Hallis and Jodi Ann Hallis, respectively, in the Battle of Tukayyid, it was enough for both Clans to engage in a Trial of Bloodright, essentially, a big reward lay by Nicholas Kerensky to hunt and annihilate all descendants of Clan Wolverine.[3]
The Clan Stars that had killed Bordon and Jodi Ann began their manhunt; after an information raid on planet Morges, they uncovered Kristin and her siblings' existence, and they go for them. Kristin was the first target.[3]
When both Clan units arrived at Rutback, Kristin's unit was on extended maneuvers on the other side of the planet, but after uncovering their exact location, their DropShips lift off and go for her.
Despite the fact that only one Clan Star attacked Kristin's tank, and their initial success in downing two Clan OmniMechs, a shot from Kristin's tank reached the other Clan 'Mechs, giving them the excuse to get inside the fight, and turning the Trial into a Grand Melee.
Death and Legacy[edit]
Between the Clan units, Kristin's Von Luckner tank never stood a chance, being destroyed and she, killed. After reaching his target, both Clan Stars retreated from the planet. Even a counterattack of another tank lance cannot stop them.[4]
After leaving the planet, both Clan Stars followed their manhunt. Kristin's death news enraged both Leonard and Andrew, but both were anyway killed, putting an end to the existence of all known members of House Hallis.[5]
Physical appearance[edit]
As with her brothers, she had red bright hair and freckles. Her frame was described as thin, and she was missing her right ear lobe after a childhood accident.
Personality[edit]
Kristin was the calmest and most logical of all Bordon's children. She never hide her feelings, and was incapable of deceit and refuses to be part of one. However, her headstrong personality got her assigned at Rutback, in a reserve military unit, very far from the glory of the Clan front.
Vehicles[edit]
Kristin piloted a Von Luckner Heavy tank, dying inside it.[6]
