Star League Era[edit]

In 2759, the capital city of Laconis was heavily damaged due to a hurricane. The Star League Defense Force Thirty-fifth Infantry Division earned a lot of goodwill by assisting with the reconstruction efforts.[54]

By 2764, Laconis was considered a "boom planet" with strong economic growth rates and hundreds of new colonists arriving daily. The resident SLDF garrison stationed themselves at the planet's largest blue water port. This port was the center of oil refining and fleets of aquaculture ships for the growing planet.[54]

Third Succession War[edit]

In 3014, the base for the pirate group Hawke's Horde was discovered on Laconis. The Taurian Concordat sent elements of the Landmark Militia as well as BattleMech units to destroy the base that same year.[55]
