Political Affiliation[edit]

Planetary History[edit]

León was first settled along with its sister worlds around 2388 by Spanish and Portuguese colonists seeking freedom from the Terran Hegemony. In 2392 it became one of the founding worlds of Nueva Castile, and by the mid-twenty-sixth century was populated by a repressive feudal society.[3]

Between 2830 and 2855, León was conquered by the newly-arrived Umayyad Caliphate. However its close proximity to Asturias, the last unconquered Castilian world, ensured that BattleMech-equipped Asturian forces drove the Umayyads out around 2856.[4]

Together with the rest of Nueva Castile, León was conquered by Clan Goliath Scorpion in 3080 and subsequently incorporated into the Escorpión Imperio.[6]

As information on Nueva Castile is sparse, the designation "Nueva Castile" has been used to show the political affiliation of León until a source confirms whether the world is currently a part of the Castilian Principalities or the Umayyad Caliphate in any given year.
