Lee Sawyer was the commanding officer of the Twenty-first Galedon Regulars as of 3052.[2]

During the Clan Invasion, the Twenty-first Galedon Regulars were lead by Tai-sa Adam Sawyer, who was the brother of officer Lee Sawyer. The Regulars were stationed on Juazeiro in January 3052 when the planet was invaded by Clan Nova Cat's Forty-fourth Nova Cat Cavaliers and Adam Sawyer was killed early in the fighting after his headquarters was destroyed by a Nova Cat headhunter attack. Lee took control of the Twenty-first Galedon after his brother's death but his decision to stick to Adam's prepared strategies cost the Regulars dearly when the Forty-fourth Cavaliers hit the Draconis Combine troops in their rear flank. Lee's decision to split the Regulars into lance-sized units while switching to hit-and-run strikes ultimately enabled just under a battalion of Regulars to escape off-world.[2]
Following the Battle of Tukayyid and the resulting halt in Clan offensive actions, Lee continued to command his brother's unit and was stationed on Yumesta with the Twenty-first Regulars' surviving battalion in 3054.[1] By 3059, Lee was among the officers to resign from the Twenty-first Regulars in order to prevent their lack of support for Coordinator Theodore Kurita's military reforms from dividing the loyalties of the unit.[3]
