Lei Gwok was a notable VTOL commander in the Sixth Confederation Reserve Cavalry during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History[edit]
In 3130, the Sixth Confederation Reserve Cavalry were stationed on Corey when the planet was raided by a Republic of the Sphere mercenary group in retaliation for an earlier raid against the world of Asuncion. The raiders targeted Corey's Hollis Industries facility, looting warehouses full of new equipment, destroying what they couldn't carry, and then retreating back to their waiting DropShip. The Sixth CRC responded by dispatching Sao-wei Gwok's flight of VTOL aircraft in an effort to slow down the mercenaries long enough for their heavier units to mobilize and catch up with their fleeing foes. Gwok's pilots flew just above the jungle canopy before deploying their battle armor troopers directly onto the hull of the raiders' DropShip. After a brief struggle, the battle armor subdued the vessel's crew and claimed the ship for the Confederation, stranding the mercenaries on Corey with no means of escape.[2][3]
Gwok acquired a considerable amount of VTOL flight experience and, during Operation GREAT FLOOD, would go on to create a series of imaginative battle armor delivery methods. While effective, Gwok's risky methods made him unpopular with the Sixth CRC's battle armor troopers.[1]
Combat Vehicle[edit]
Sao-wei Lei Gwok piloted and commanded a force of Shun transport VTOLs while serving with the Sixth Confederation Reserve Cavalry.[1]
