Lem "Flyswatter" Goldman was an artillery operator in the Third Filtvelt Citizen's Militia during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History[edit]
Corporal Goldman's first battle occurred when a pirate DropShip carrying BattleMechs made planetfall on the world the Third Filtvelt Militia was garrisoning in April 3146. Goldman's platoon had been on field maneuvers and had already used most of their ammunition, although Goldman elected to use his last remaining Arrow IV missile against the bandit's DropShip. The ensuing hit against the vessel's drive cones downed the DropShip and stunned both Goldman and the rest of his unit. Despite this surprise victory, the surviving pirate 'Mechs escaped into the planet's wilderness and continued to launch raids for provisions as of 3150, foiling the Third Militia's efforts to locate and defeat them.[1]
