Shujin Leon Diaz was a MechWarrior serving the Draconis Combine during Operation REVIVAL.[1]
History[edit]
During the Clan Smoke Jaguar invasion of the world of Asgard in February 3052, then Chu-i Leon Diaz commanded a Lance within Tengu Company of the Third Benjamin Regulars. Leon Diaz was ordered by his commander, Tai-i Houra, to detach from this company and perform a reconnaissance mission. While Diaz was gone, the 4th Jaguar Dragoons Cluster broke the Combine's defensive lines at Odin's Retreat and killed everyone in Tengu Company.[1]
Other Combine warriors considered Leon a traitor or coward for surviving the destruction of his unit despite having copies of the Houra's orders. Leon was demoted to Shujin and then assigned to Three Lance of C Company, First Battalion of the Third Benjamin Regulars. The other members of C Company scorned him, but Leon tried to prove his worth when his company defended the Jinjiro Memorial Bridge. However, the Nineteenth Striker Cluster would break the Combine's defense of the bridge and kill all of its defenders, including Leon. But, the defenders did not die in vain and they bought enough time for the Third's command staff and the soldier's families to escape off world.[1][2]
