Leopold Hertzog was the commander of the Capellan Confederation's elite Death Commandos, as of 3052.[1]

The CO of the Death Commandos at the start of the reign of Chancellor Sun-Tzu Liao, one of the first new recruits nominated by the new Chancellor for Hertzog was Loren Jaffray, who so impressed Hertzog that he promoted Jaffray to major.[1]
