Liam Nostra was a Bloodnamed warrior and the commanding officer of Clan Nova Cat's Gamma Galaxy during the Draconis Combine Civil War.[1]

Galaxy Commander Liam's Gamma Galaxy was deployed to Avon when the Draconis Combine's First and Second Amphigean Light Assault Groups invaded with the intent to wipe out the Nova Cats. Heavily supplied with OmniMechs from the Luthien Armor Works' LAW-Avon Alpha facility, Gamma moved in quickly to oppose the LAGs' landing operations. Liam personally sought out Sho-sa Kyomi Arioch in order to challenge him to a Trial of Possession for the planet but was forced to retreat with Avon's environment as cover after Arioch's command lance focused their firepower against him. When he emerged from the underground river he had used to evade his pursuers, Liam witnessed the bulk of the Combine regiments slam into the assault and striker Stars that were waiting for his command to act. jumping to the top of a nearby bunker in order to rally his troops, Liam managed to down four LAG BattleMechs with precision fire before an enemy artillery strike saturated his position, killing him.[1][2]
While he had perished, the warriors of Gamma Galaxy used their leader's sacrifice as motivation for a vicious counterassault. Although Gamma Galaxy was ultimately destroyed in the battle, both Amphigean Light Assault Groups suffered severe casualties and the LAW-Avon factory was destroyed before the last of the Nova Cats fell.[1][2]
