Major General Lijsbeth van Coevorden was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's XXXIV Corps as of 2764.[1]

Born in the Taurian Concordat, and a graduate of the Combat College of New Earth, Van Coevorden had sought an assignment in the Concordat based 19th Army. She was however denied by SLDF command, and instead promoted to lead XXXIV Corps, which was tasked with security in the periphery border of the Free Worlds League. Considering the posting an insult based on her periphery background, Van Coevorden became bitter, and planned way to repay her superiors for the slight.
An ingenious administrator, Van Coevorden was able to maintain the operational readiness of her Corps even in the face of limited logistical support from ordinary SLDF sources, making arrangements with nearby powers such as the Illyrian Palatinate and Niops Association.[1]
