Lila Bogdonavich was a survivor of the Massacre of Liao.[1]

History[edit]

In 3111, when Lila was 12 years old, Liao came under invasion by the Capellan Confederation. Lila lived in the capital, Chang-an, which was devastated in the first few days of the battle. She lost her parents and her home, only barely surviving through the help of some neighbors. Making it through the fighting was a desperate struggle.[1]

Once the fighting subsided, Lila was taken into Chang-an's overburdened Civic Child Care Services, which struggled to find her a family. Like many of the Orphans of Liao, she stayed in their care until she reached adulthood and was left on the streets afterwards. For years afterwards, she worked hard to get by, using what social support systems she could while surviving without a home. As well, she worked through her trauma, joining and eventually leading Massacre survivor support groups.[1]

Around 3133, Lila's memoir, Myself in the Rubble: A Memoir of the Liao Massacre, was published by Storytellers Press. On 27 July 3133, Imre Colton gave it a positive review for INN.[1]
