Lin-Fong Chang was a notable tank commander in the Menkalinan Home Guard during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History[edit]
Si-ben-bing Chang gained fame for her role in the Menkalinan Home Guard's ambush of Federated Suns MechWarrior Leftenant Morton Briggs during Task Force Navarre's invasion of Menkalinan. As Leftenant Briggs' lance passed by her unit's position, Chang's forces opened fire in the hopes of slowing down the hostile BattleMechs. Their efforts were rewarded when Chang's tank destroyer disabled the hip of Briggs' Griffin, downing the larger machine. When Briggs' comrades turned to provide him with covering fire, Chang opened fire once again and destroyed an ammunition bin, cracking open the 'Mech's cockpit and supposedly killing Briggs. For her actions, Chang was rewarded with an upgraded tank destroyer and the BattleROM footage of her ambush was subsequently used in the Capellan Confederation's morale and recruitment efforts.[1]
Combat Vehicle[edit]
Si-ben-bing Lin-Fong Chang operated a Predator tank destroyer during the ambush on Menkalinan. She was later awarded a Predator with an improved heavy Gauss rifle for her actions.[1]
