Lin Ma was a MechWarrior, who served in the Holt's Hilltoppers mercenary unit, as of 3068.[1]

As of 3068, Ma served in Badger Lance, within the Holt's Hilltoppers' Carnivore Company.[1]

Ma was known to have piloted a Hunchback BattleMech.[1]

As of 3068, Holt's Hilltoppers included four MechWarriors who had defected from the all-female Capellan Laurel's Legion, after a Legion Lance surrendered to the Hilltoppers on Arboris in December 3064. In this regard the Hilltoppers' Word of Blake Jihad unit roster includes four female MechWarriors which stereotypical Capellan (i.e. Chinese) female names, being Sun Chang, Nan Li, Mei Sang and Lin Ma, two of which (Chang and Li) are explicitly stated to be formerly of Laurel's Legion.
It is therefore likely, though not confirmed, that both Mei Sang and Lin Ma were the remaining members of the Laurel's Legion Lance which joined the Hilltoppers.[2][3][1]
