Lisle Masino was a warrior within the Clan Diamond Shark touman and by 3085 had reached the rank of Star Colonel, and was serving as the Commanding Officer of the Sixth Strike Cluster within Beta Galaxy.[1]

Lisle Masino represents an anachronism or possibly an error, in that the Masino Bloodname is a Clan Coyote Bloodname that was involved in the late thirtieth century event known as the Blood Scandal. All of the eight Bloodnames involved with the Blood Scandal were subject to a Reaving at the orders of Khan Tatiana Steele, and the legacies of the affected Bloodnames were ended. The prescription on warriors being created using the Masino Bloodname legacies and those of the other Reaved Bloodnames didn't end until after the Wars of Reaving, when Clan Coyote Khan Leo Koga lifted the restriction on using these sealed legacies because of a critical shortage of untained Bloodlines. By this point, Clan Diamond Shark had been absent from the Clan Homeworlds for more than a decade[2][3]
