Nothing is known of the unit's past, but it can be confirmed that the Lowdon's LongToms is a combined-arms unit that was on 3068 under contract from the AFFS to defend Water Purification Plant 51 on Perkasie.
On the 11th of January the unit was surprised by an attack by the Bounty Hunter's crew (but not him) that routed them. They called for additional reinforcements in the form of Calvin's Cuirassiers.
The unit was not destroyed, but badly mauled, and their whereabouts after the incident are unknown.[1].

A combined-arms unit formed by two Lances of BattleMechs a Company of armor and one Company of Infantry of Regular Quality. Despite the name, the unit does not possess Artillery support.[1]
