Lukas Sjardd was a Pirate warlord and proclaimed arms dealer located in the coreward Periphery in 3062.[1]
History[edit]
In the years following the Clan invasion, Sjardd claimed to have recovered Clan technology. His claim gained credibility when the destruction of Clan Smoke Jaguar plunged the coreward Periphery into a state of disarray. His expressed willingness to equip other Bandit Kingdoms with the technology eventually brought him to the attention of the Draconis Combine Internal Security Force, who sent a reconnaissance mission after him.
In 3062, Sjardd was suspected to be after an old Star League storage depot for chemical, biological, and radiological weapons outlawed by the Ares Conventions. Once he was in its possession, it was assumed that he would sell most of the deadly weapons to the highest bidder and keep the rest for himself. The storage depot, called The Cemetery, was located on the northern polar basin of KA-418 (Garotte) in the Periphery.[1]
