Lupus Galaxy was mustered by Clan Wolf during the dawn of the ilClan Era to protect and expand the Wolf Empire.[1]

History[edit]

After the IlClan Trial, Clan Wolf became the ilClan, but its territory, the so called Wolf Empire was besieged by enemies and defenseless. However, it didn't fall, thanks to his only defending officer, Star Colonel Othar. He, by his own initiative, lowered the age of graduation of all sibkos a year, and offered new opportunities to all solahma warriors in the Empire, using newly manufactured equipment to raise, in less than a year, two full Galaxies: Lupus and Rufus.[2]

Lupus was to become the frontline one, first-responders to any crises than troubled Rufus garrisones units. Five Clusters strong, Lupus ones were posted in worlds one-two jumps from their Rufus Galaxy counterpart. While Rufus pin an enemy in place, his paired Lupus Cluster will arrive to smash the enemy.[1]

For this, any Lupus Cluster will have assigned their own DropShips and JumpShips.[3]

Active in end of 3151, Lupus saw heavy combat everywhere in the Empire, but they were greatly outnumbered, and suffered heavy losses, being unable to prevent a loss of dozens of worlds, though they managed to keep the rest of the Empire. The most damaging battle was the raid of Wolf's Dragoons Zeta Battalion on Gienah in 3152, which saw the Den Keshik and the Ninety-First Wolf Guards annihilated.[4]

Notes[edit]

There is a discrepancy about the number of Clusters in Lupus Galaxy, as it was said that there were only five, but six are mentioned, including the Den Keshik, though as the last unit was only a Trinary strong, it may be that Othar simply referred to five front-line Clusters plus the Keshik, which was a bodyguard-command unit.[7]
