The Dollar is the name for currency issued by the Magistracy of Canopus.

Description[edit]
Canopian dollars come in bills or silver coins, with bills covering denominations of $1, $2, $5, $10, $20 and up. Five-dollar coins are gold; smaller silver and copper coins represent sums of less than one dollar.
Whether metal or paper, Canopian currency is a work of art. Paper bills sport extravagant designs and are printed in every color of the rainbow, while the reverse sides of coins feature stylized animals and geometric designs from African, Celtic, North American and Mesoamerican tribal cultures. Coin faces are emblazoned with portraits of various notable Magestrixes: Kossandra, Floral, Crystalla (who resisted absorption into the first Star League), Janina (who shepherded the Magistracy through the early Succession Wars), Kyalla (who had "victory coins" prematurely struck in 3032, at the height of Magistracy gains during the Canopian-Capellan War) and Emma.[1]
As per 3058 its exchange rate against the C-bill is 0,125.[2]
As per 3067 its exchange rate against the C-Bill is 0,25. This makes the currency with best exchange rate against the C-Bill at this time, same as the TC Bull. The Coin Metal is Silver displaying the Image of Kossandra Centrella and with the Paper Color being Lilac and displaying the Image of Wheat sheaves and the Reverse Image of birds.[3]
During the Dark Age, the exchange rate with the C-Bill was of 0.54 prior to the Blackout and 1.70 after the blackout.[4]

The currency of the Magistracy of Canopus changed from Dollar to MC Dollar when the Fronc Reaches was formed in order to distinguish from the currency used there, also called Dollar.[citation needed]
