Personal Appearance[edit]

As of 3058, Mandrake's face was horribly burned and scarred, as a result of previous battle injuries earnt during Operation DRAGONSLAYER.[3]

History[edit]

Operation DRAGONSLAYER[edit]

In 3052, Mandrake was a part of a combined Nova Cat and Clan Smoke Jaguar force, which unsuccessfully tried to invade the Draconis Combine capital world Luthien under the banner of Operation DRAGONSLAYER. Mandrake was severely injured during this campaign, which left him permanently disfigured.[3]

Boltin[edit]

By 3058, as a Solahma and member of the 167th Garrison Cluster, Mandrake was a part of the Nova Cat garrison on the Deep Periphery world Boltin. On 17 July, Mandrake fielded a Batchall from what he thought was a Clan Smoke Jaguar raiding force seeking to revenge that Clan's earlier loss of Boltin, but was actually an undercover Stirling's Fusiliers force led by Major Loren Jaffray who were seeking to incite a revenge assault on Wayside by the Nova Cats where their comrades were struggling to subdue the local Clan Smoke Jaguar garrison. Mandrake accepted the offered Trial of Refusal, bidding a mixed Star of BattleMechs and Elementals, to fight over the abandoned Jaguar base where the covert Northwind Highlanders had taken up residence.[2][3]

After being defeated by the Highlanders by Major Jaffray in the Trial and having his 'Mech disabled, Mandrake requested Jaffray kill him so that he would not have to live with the blemish on his honor, a request that Jaffray granted by firing into the Cockpit of Mandrake's downed 'Mech.[1]

BattleMech[edit]

Mandrake was known to have piloted a Stone Rhino BattleMech.[2][1]
