Planetary Description[edit]

Mankova is covered with dense jungles with a multitude of wildlife. The most notable species is the Conqueror Worms that can slowly digest metal by means of secreted acid.[9]

Planetary History[edit]

During the final years of the Star League, Mankova was the site of an SLDF base named Fort Thompson.[9]

Lying in the outworlds of the Free Worlds League, there hasn't been an FWL 'Mech garrison on-planet since the Second Succession War.[10]

In Dunstan Province on Mankova in the outworlds of the Free Worlds League, there were perhaps six BattleMechs in 3071. Darcy Gables ran a crime organization in Dunstan Province for a decade, squeezing farmers and agribusinesses for protection money and the like. In November 3070 a group of ranchers got together and decided they needed to do something about it. First they sent a representative to Gables' organization in Farwell City and asked him to leave. Gables killed the representative and burned his ranch and threatened the other ranchers. About fifty of them got together, stormed his headquarters, and killed anyone who stood against them. Four ranchers were killed, and nineteen wounded. When the Farwell City police responded, they found the ranchers waiting to be arrested. They went into a short trial in 3071 citing Edmund Burke most known phrase:[10]

  — All that is required for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing.[10]

Geography[edit]

The planet is divided in several provinces. Dunstan Province is a quiet province, mostly agricultural. It's a sparsely populated province.[10]
