Marius Storland was the commanding officer of the Third Freemen Cluster of the Ghost Bear Dominion's Taiga Galaxy and, later, commander of the First Drakøns.[2][1]

Star Colonel Storland, serving with the Third Freemen, was stationed on Susquehanna in 3085.[2]
Second Combine-Dominion War[edit]
First Battle of Labrea[edit]
By the time of the Second Combine-Dominion War, now-Galaxy Commander Storland was commander of Tundra Galaxy's First Drakøns Cluster. Assigned to attack the Nova Cat holdings on Labrea and given command of the trueborn Fourth Bear Regulars in addition to his own freeborn soldiers, Storland's taskforce made planetfall on 18 January 3099. The outnumbered Nova Cat Legers attempted to rely on their aerospace assets to harry Storland's numerically superior force but were forced into a direct assault against the Ghost Bear Dominion troops on 27 January. Sending the Fourth Regulars to encircle the Legers, Storland's First Drakøns fought ferociously in an effort to exact vengeance for the demise of the Third Hussars earlier in the conflict.[1]
By the time the Fourth Regulars began engaging the Legers, Storland's Drakøns had already destroyed or routed the Legers' troops. Without defenses, the Nova Cat holdings on Labrea were easy prey for the Dominion: the Cats' settlement near the capital of Las Cabreas was razed on 31 January with the planet's sibkos destroyed and genetic repositories seized the next day. The survivors of the Nova Cat Legers spread news of these acts throughout the Irece Prefecture, making it clear to the Clan that the Dominion had their absolute destruction in mind.[1]
Second Battle of Labrea[edit]
On 12 October, Labrea was counterattacked by Clan Nova Cat's Purity Keshik, 189th Striker Cluster, Nova Cat Dragoons, and the survivors of the Nova Cat Legers. The Dominion's decision to keep its aerospace forces close to the planet allowed them to intercept and destroy the DropShip carrying the Legers, forcing Nova Cat commander saKhan Heather Winters to risk her own DropShips in a fire support role. For the next month, Storland's Ghost Bears faced intermittent aerial attack from Nova Cat ships making quick jumps between the planet's surface and orbit in an effort to avoid being shot down. In one notable incident on 4 November, the Second Drakøns succeeded in downing the Cat DropShip Infrared Dream, only for the Dream's commander to steer his dying vessel into the heart of their formation. The edge granted to the Nova Cats by their aggressive use of DropShips gradually began to win them the battle and with his freebirth units taking casualties at a heavier rate than the trueborn Fourth Bear Regulars, Storland elected to withdraw his forces to Caripare on 19 November.[3]
