Mashaka Hirohito was the commanding officer of the First Proserpina Hussars during the Fourth Succession War.

History

Tai-sa Hirohito and the First Proserpina Hussars were tasked with defending the world of Shirotori during the Lyran Commonwealth's offensive against the Draconis Combine. Facing off against the Third Donegal Guards, Hirohito's troops managed to retain control of all three of Shirotori's main cities while the Donegal Guards occupied most of the planet's countryside. In March 3029, the Third Guards learned that Hirohito was commanding the First Hussars' operations from the city of Meijer and, furthermore, that he held meetings with his command staff every day, in the same place, and at the same time. The Third Guards proceeded to hijack a Hussars supply convoy, escort it into Meijer city limits with two disguised lances of BattleMechs, and await the opportunity to ambush Hirohito and his command staff.

At midnight on the day of the Third Guards' infiltration, other elements of the Lyran unit attacked the city of Brusk in order to draw away some of Meijer's defenders. As Hirohito's daily 6:30 meeting began, the Third Guards assaulted Meijer's perimeter while the infiltrator lances successfully struck against Hirohito's command bunker. By the time the day's fighting was done, Meijer remained under Combine control and all of the Lyran headhunters were destroyed, but Hirohito and half of his regiment's senior officers were dead. This effectively crippled the First Proserpina Hussars as a fighting force and, within two weeks, the Lyrans took control over Shirotori as the First Hussars retreated off-world.
