Mavis Cooper was the commanding officer of the First Raventhir Cuirassiers as of 3064.[2]

Colonel Cooper, serving with the First Raventhir Cuirassiers, lead a joint deployment to Cate's Hold and Early Dawn in 3064. After the First Cuirassiers' formation, Cooper became close friends with Colonel Philip Canderson of the Concordat Cuirassiers and this bond would go on to link each officer's units as well. When the Concordat Cuirassiers were destroyed fighting in the Capellan-St. Ives War, a shocked Cooper filed a formal complaint with the Magistracy Armed Forces' Majestrix Command Center as protest against the Magistracy's role in a war she saw as none of its business. Not only did she point to the loss of the Concordat Cuirassiers as proof but the deaths of hundreds of Canopian soldiers on Capellan Confederation soil also underscored her point. This act put Cooper under the surveillance of the Magistracy Intelligence Ministry but she was not thought to be planning any acts of sedition at that time.[2]
By 3067, now-General Cooper was commander of the Raventhir Cuirassiers brigade and commanded the First Cuirassiers' joint deployment to Joppa and Dainmar Majoris.[1] Following the Jihad, Cooper still carried the taint of her complaint to the MCC and had been demoted back down to colonel, although she continued to serve with distinction and was commanding the First Cuirassiers on Weistheimer, Crawford's Delight, and Ballad II by 3085.[3][4]
